Our Fees
Our Fees
Most legal work is billed on an hourly basis. Such services include divorce litigation, estate planning, probate of an estate, contract negotiation and other services normally requiring an attorney.
The hourly rate varies from attorney to attorney, depending on years of practice and expertise. You will be billed at different hourly rates for work performed by associates, law clerks or paralegals. You will receive a monthly bill, itemizing services performed and time billed for each service.
Some services can be provided on a "flat rate" basis, such as a simple will, an uncontested dissolution of marriage, or most criminal matters.
Injury claims such as auto accidents, dog bites, product liability, wrongful death and other bodily injury claims are usually handled on a "contingent fee" basis. This means that our fee is contingent on recovery of money damages from the wrongdoer and is a percentage of the damages recovered.
Our fee policy will be explained to you when we are first retained to represent you. It is our goal to work efficiently to provide you with prompt, cost-conscious, professional services.
